LET’s make something great together!
Hello, friend. My name is Andrew Casden and San Francisco is currently where I call home, though I originally hail from the Connecticut/New York area. Welcome to my website! The content on these pages tells the story of who I am, some of the work I've done across my career, some places I've traveled, and perhaps most importantly -- how I see the world.
Since 2005, I have carved out a niche at the crossroads of research, design and storytelling, having spent the better part of my career as an ethnographer, strategist, and documentarian in consumer product design and brand development. In doing so I strive to be an advocate for the user and inspire designers and marketers to create more meaningful experiences for them.
My work has spanned a wide range of categories and continents as I’ve led over 100 projects in the US, Europe, Latin America and Asia, usually involving complex logistics of multiple vendors and cross-functional teams within the studio and my clients’ organizations.
Consumer cultures and categories I’ve worked in include connected entertainment, gaming, wearables, healthcare, food & beverage, and hospitality. I’ve worked closely with client teams at Microsoft, Nike, Pokémon, Samsung, AAA, Keurig, Johnson & Johnson, and Intel, to name a few.
I have a BA in Sociology and Film Studies from Wesleyan University. When I’m not cranking away at work, you can probably find me rocking out at a music festival, or in some far-flung place around the world eating questionable street food.
